ESTHER: De Vries (1974, The Hague) graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 1998. Esther is specialised in book- and the more spacious areas of design. Through her meticulous working method, which consists of constantly reviewing and questioning the project at hand, she presents its content in a way that reinforces its diversity and richness, rather than simplifying it. She teamed up with Richard Niessen in 2007.

Clients are artists or designers like Auke de Vries and Manon van Kouswijk, institutions such as the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, Toeval gezocht , Atelier van licht, publishers like Nai/010 and companies such as TNT and Daimler Art Collection.

During her studies Esther started publishing self initiated books under the name 'Uitgeverij Boek'. At this time she publishes the series called 1:1:1 which is initiated and collectively designed by Niessen & de Vries.
