FLAT (with Dimitri Reist)
FLATSTATION is an initiative of a group of residents of the Bijlmer consisting of artists, curators, designers, scientists and musicians who live in studio apartments of the flat Florijn. From different disciplines and backgrounds, they work together realising various projects in the area of the Bijlmer which functions as source of inspiration. FLATSTATION is located at Florijn 42. PAMFLAT is the first project produced by artist initiative FLATSTATION that will consist of various interventions debating the transition and transformation of the Southeast area of Amsterdam, also known as the Bijlmer. These interventions will take place in the direct surroundings of the Bijlmer and are connected to the launch of the PAMFLAT magazine.

Intervention-weekend: Saturday February the 23rd and Sunday February the 24th.
Richard Niessen designed tiles of enamel,in accordance to the rhythmic pattern of bricks, on which the place of birth of each of PAMFLAT?s contributors are mentioned. These tiles exemplify the notion of colonialism and exoticism. This notion is extended in the specially designed bags by Esther de Vries its fabric has also been inspired by the origin of the contributors . PAMFLAT will be distributed from these bags at the Amsterdamse Poort and at the subway station of Ganzenhoef.on Saturday February the 23rd.
